Show it at the party

Put the game on the big screen and let the kid play a level in front of everyone. Pick the setup that matches your devices.

iPhone or Mac to Apple TV

  1. Connect the phone or Mac to the same Wi-Fi as the Apple TV.
  2. iPhone: swipe down to open Control Center and tap Screen Mirroring. Mac: click the Control Center icon in the menu bar, then Screen Mirroring.
  3. Choose your Apple TV and type the code if it asks.
  4. Open the game link in Safari and go full screen.

Tip: turn the phone sideways so the picture fills the TV.

Android or Chrome to Chromecast / Google TV

  1. Connect the phone or laptop to the same Wi-Fi as the Chromecast or Google TV.
  2. Android: open Quick Settings and tap Cast (or Screen cast). Laptop: in Chrome, open the three-dot menu, then Cast, then Cast screen.
  3. Choose the TV. Pick "Cast screen" so the game and its sound both go across.
  4. Open the game link in Chrome and go full screen.

Tip: if the TV does not show up, move closer to the router.

Laptop to TV with an HDMI cable

  1. Plug the HDMI cable into the laptop (use an adapter if it only has USB-C) and into the TV.
  2. On the TV, pick the matching HDMI input with the remote.
  3. On the laptop, set the display to mirror or duplicate.
  4. Open the game link in Chrome and go full screen.

Tip: this is the most reliable option. Bring the cable even if you plan to cast.

Before the guests arrive

  • Open the link earlyOpen the game link on the device before the guests arrive. The first load needs a moment.
  • Go full screenUse the full screen button, or press F11 on a laptop, so there are no bars on the big screen.
  • Sound through the TVTurn the TV volume up and check the device volume too. Play a few seconds to test.
  • Keep the phone chargingCasting drains the battery fast. Plug the phone in the whole time.
  • A second phone for grandmaSend grandma or grandpa the co-op link and let them join from their own phone during the party.
  • Do a 2-minute run-throughThe day before, run the whole setup once with the kid. Casting, sound and the first level.
